Capt. Jack, "The Jig Man," started fishing as a kid in a small town
outside of Boston, MA. When he was 6 years old, his family moved
to Southern California where his love of fishing continued in a
nearby fishing hole, named Legg Lake, situated in the San
Bernardino Mountains. It wasn't long before his family moved once
again, this time to the valley below. Jack loved fishing so much he
was determined to return to the lake as often as possible, so his
little bike became his wheels to the lake now twelve miles away.

Later in life, after 6 years in the Navy, Jack moved to Northern California. He
discovered so many lakes within 30 miles from his house, he thought he found
fisherman's paradise. One day in 1995 Jack took his little 14 ft. aluminum boat to
Camp Far West, in Wheatland, CA, and he hasn't stopped fishing since.

He entered his first Bass tournament in 1997 on Folsom Lake, and caught
nothing. Then he went to Lake Berryessa, and again caught nothing. Far from
being discouraged Jack went to the store and bought some DVDs and books on
fishing and spent the next year reading, watching, and using Internet resources to
    make himself a better fisherman.

Jack did get better. Spending 200 plus days a year on the water must have
helped him some, because he started winning tournaments. Well, Jack didn't like
some of the colors that came with his fishing tackle so back in 2000 he began
making his own jigs and started giving them to fishing Pros and friends. In 2005
he began packaging his jigs and continued to give them to the fishermen he met
at tournaments, sportsman shows and other events.

Last Spring, when he was drove the camera boat for ESPN/BASS in Stockton and
Clear Lake for two weeks, Jack had his jigs on hand and gave them to the Elite
Series BASS Pros and waited for their comments. His patience paid off. One Pro
called him and ordered 100 for his personal use and 250 for his store and soon
thereafter three other Pros called and ordered some too. Now Jack is off and
running, turning his passion into profit. After making his rounds throughout
Northern California, he found 3 stores to carry his line of jigs. In fact, recently he
delivered his biggest order to Wild Sports in Orangevale, CA.

When he's not fishing, or making jigs, or working at his auto repair shop, Jack is
a member of the Basin Bassmasters Club in Loomis, CA. For the last 3 years
he's served as the Club's Secretary. Jack started making a name for himself in
2004 when he qualified for the State Team. The top 12 out of the top 200 make
the California BASS Federation Nation State Team. Jack has made the State
Team 3 years in a row!

In January 2007, Capt. Jack "The Jig Man" was elected to be the California
Federation Nation Youth Director. He organizes "Casting Kids" contests all over
the State of California and takes kids on fishing outings for the day.

What's Jack doing now? He's getting ready to qualify at Clear Lake for the 2008
State Team. Who's running his auto repair shop in Loomis, CA? His wife,
Shannon, and she deserves a medal.
